By way of introduction,

Many people are somewhat anxious when they visit a church without knowing something about it. Therefore, we have prepared this introduction to help you understand more about us…

Our worship is simple and biblical.

We truly hope that you will be impressed by the simplicity of our services. They are designed to draw you closer to God and to provide an atmosphere that will allow you to worship God in reverence according to His will (John 4:42). Since all we do is governed by the word of God, you will find us observing only those things contained in it. We shall do our best to duplicate and pattern everything we do after the early church of the New Testament. Because worship is participation, you are warmly encouraged to join us in each item of worship.

  • Singing: To many, our song service is a high point in the assembly. No musical instruments are used. As Christians, we’re only commanded to sing and make music in our hearts (Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16), and because of this, we feel it would be an addition to His will if we added instruments. Songs are selected to stir a desire to obey and edify you spiritually. We encourage you to sing along with us.  We have hymnal books in the back as you enter the sanctuary to grab and the song leader will instruct as to the page we'll be singing from through the service.

  • Teaching: Our teaching is designed to instruct and encourage in the ways of righteousness. You’re invited to follow along in a Bible as the lesson is presented. We hope that you will be benefited.  The auditorium monitors will display the preacher’s and lesson outlines so you may follow along with the biblical passages.

  • The Lord’s Supper: Communion is observed just as it was on the night of our Lord’s betrayal. The men presiding at the table will prepare communion by praying over it and handing out the prefilled cup & waffer. We will then pray and give thanks for the bread and will pause for the congregation to partake of the emblem of Christ’s body (Mark 14:22 & 1 Corinthians 23-24). After the congregation has partaken of the bread, the men will then take the cup, representing Christ’s blood, and do likewise (1 Corinthians 11:25). Christians do this each first day of the week as commanded and repeated every first day of the week, this is the highlight of our worship (Acts 20:6-8). The Lord’s Supper is offered during the morning and evening services for those unable to partake during the morning services.

  • Contribution: A collection is taken only during Sunday assemblies after the Lord’s Supper and a hymn has been sung. This is a commandment given to the members and is in no way a solicitation of funds from our visitors.  At this time, each member gives of his means as he’s prospered and as he purposes in his heart (1 Corinthians 16:1-2). This offering is voluntary and used to meet the needs of the congregation and its benevolence mission.

  • Prayer: The prayers you will hear will thank God for the blessings He pours down upon us and request His continued care over us.

You won’t be embarrassed.

At the end of each service, an invitation song will be sung. Those wishing to become Christians are invited to come forward and let their desire be known. One who believes in Christ (Acts 8:37), repents of his sins (Luke 13:3), confesses Christ (Romans 10:9-10), and is baptized into Christ (Acts 2:38) is added to the church (Acts 2:47). By virtue of obedience, this person is recognized as a member of the Lord’s church. However, this action is voluntary on the part of the one desiring to become a Christian. You will never be singled out for public attention or embarrassment.

Now that you have been introduced to our worship and observance, perhaps you would like to know something about the people around you. We have no creed but Christ, no book but the Bible, and no name but Christian. We believe that when we follow the Bible only, we will be Christians only. You will always be welcome. Every visitor is an honored guest and we hope you will visit us again in the future. A cordial and gracious welcome will always await you.
